Sasha has been painting and drawing for as long as she can remember. Her parents installed an appreciation for art and history at an early age by visiting various museums and architectural masterpieces around the world.
The journey to becoming a full time artist was not a straight forward path. Although she always held art close to her heart, Sasha's fear of failure led her away from pursuing her passion, and so, she worked as an Elementary Art Educator in Texas for six years.
It wasn't until the pandemic was deeply situated in the world when Sasha made the life-changing decision to resign from her teaching career, and pursue her dreams.
In the past, Sasha has been commissioned to paint portraits of icons, various animals, and beloved pets. In her "free" time, she likes to collaborate with her daughters in creating abstract works of art. Her daughters will choose the colors, and create the shapes, while Sasha adds the depth, and line work.
The current series being explored is centered around the classical elements of earth, air, fire, water, and aether. Sasha enjoys examining mythology, reflecting on history, and learning new things about the universe.
Although she has used watercolors and india inks in the past, Sasha prefers to use a mixture of acrylic paints, markers, and colored pencil. Sasha loves vibrant colors, and creating beauty for others to enjoy. She resides in the countryside in southern Texas.
